ADTRAN Evening Lecture

ADTRAN will be on campus Monday, February 13th to hold a lecture on the agile methodology engineers have deployed in certain areas within the company.  Their “Agile Effect” lecture is at 5:30 p.m. at SEC 3437.  Here is a link to the building map.  The concept is to educate students more about agile development and how it can benefit a development cycle.  They are encouraging any students with an interest and passion for software development to stop by at any time.  Refreshments will be provided.

ADTRAN also has several co-op, intern, and entry level openings.  You can find out more about their career opportunities at the event or by applying to any of their postings through Crimson Careers or the Co-op Office. Make sure to sign up quickly, as interviews will be held the day after the career fair.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Our next chapter meeting will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:15pm in SEC 3437.

We will be discussing chapter events, like recaping the Microsoft AppLab workshop last Tuesday, looking forward to an upcoming LAN party, and more. We will also be looking for volunteers to run a Science Olympiad competition next month that the College of Engineering is hosting for area high schools and middle schools.

There will be a brief Tech Talk on an exciting topic in computing and, as always, there will be pizza and drink after the meeting.

Important: The Treasurer and Membership Committee will be collecting $5 dues from all members during the meeting. Please don’t forget to bring the amount, preferably in exact change.

We hope to see every one there!
